Around the world Christmas is now being celebrated! Today, Jen and I set up the tree for our grandma. It was fantastic, and we spent a good amount of time reminiscing about Christmas when we were children. That's another thing I love about Christmas: traditions. My favorites are:
1. driving around neighborhoods on Christmas Eve, in the back of the suburban with blankets, making sure to visit the dalmation houses and the CD christmas tree.
2. drinking Martinelli's. Enough said.
3. Sneaking down to see all the presents at a ridiculous hour in the morning, and then pretending to be surprised when I snuck down with my brother and sister. Good timessss.
4. Making, and eating Mom's fudge, polish tea cookies, and other treats people would bring by. Mmmm.
5. Putting up the Christmas lights in the front yard. That was totally my thing. And my dad helped, of course.
So yes. I'm very excited for the season of Christmas. I love it like I love the fact that when I was a kid I could climb up a tree and pick mistletoe. Gotta miss those days.
P.S. I still dream of a White Christmas. Maybe next year?
