14 Degrees

I like Thanksgiving. I love family. I wish I could have my family more united.

Anyway, I am so very grateful for books and the power of getting lost in a story. I have only been in Roy for less than 24 hours and I have already finished an entire novel. It's fantastic. It would be better if I could read in front of a fireplace though. But still. I will never forget the many summers (and entire school years) I spent reading as a kid, just so have a huge list of book titles saved on "the kid's computer." It made me super excited when I realized I read multitudes more than my brother and sister. Sorry, but I'm competitive. I'm fairly certain I earned a valued trip to Six Flags in fifth grade for reading more than 600 pages. I love having time to read whatever I want. One day, I want a library. That would be fantastic. You know, it would fit in with the castle I'll be living in. JOKE.

I am also grateful for the sun. Although I haven't actually seen it today, it usually brings warmth and happiness to my soul. However, the sun did manifest itself to produce a beautiful sunset. I love all the colors that can be created during a sunrise or sunset. The sun is my friend, but not when it burns me. I'm excited for springtime when it shows itself after months and months, because everyone appreciates it!

I wish everyone a happy thanksgiving, full of laughter, food, and mostly, pie. :)
