That's right, my
spring break was filled with fun, adventure, and pure epicness. Be jealous. I went to a handful of
the most beautiful places that exist!

| The beginning of Peek-a-boo. |
First off, was Escalante...aka: the middle of nowhere. We got there saturday night...set up camp and started a huge fire. We looked at the universe (there were more stars than I have ever seen before) and then slept. Sunday, we spent all day hiking in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. I highly recommend it. We did two of the more famous slot canyons...Spooky and Peek-a-boo. We ran up and down a sand dune. We waited for Ian to conquer "Ian's Demise" and witnessed Brian fall into a puddle. We hoisted Jaron up a giant rock with a rope. We explored and climbed and hiked and conquered. It was legit, and I loved every minute.

Monday morning we left just in time to avoid a huge snowstorm...and stopped in Capitol Reef National Park to do a quick hike. The landscape there was also beautiful, and it was foggy and drizzling...but made for a great time! We then skillfully pulled into Goblin Valley after a rainstorm had hit, leaving us to a long, cold, windy night...but at least it didn't rain or snow!
 |
| There's a giant arch behind us. A picture in ponchos was definitely necessary. |
Goblin Valley State Park was legit. We played hide and go seek in the "Valley of Goblins"...definitely a fantastic thing to do. Tuesday, we went and hiked Little Wild Horse Canyon and Bell Canyon, also both very beautiful canyons, and it was the perfect day to do so. Tuesday night we also stayed up the latest, burning a ton of wood and telling stories.

| The three "champs" on top of some goblins. |
Lastly, we went to Arches National Park, which I also loved! We saw Landscape, Navajo, Partition, Double O, Delicate, and so many more arches. We also ended up hiking on top of fins. I felt on top of the world. The weather was also perfect, the sights beautiful, and the hiking was fantastic.

In case you couldn't tell, I'd say this spring break was top notch, the pick of the crop, the BEST EVER. I loved every minute of it, despite being cold, sunburned, and covered in sand. This is one of those adventures I'll be telling over and over again, and never grow tired of doing so. :)
