the kind of hope they all talk about

I just started reading Life of Pi and I love it. I love the stories and the depth. I need to find time to finish it, but we'll see if that will happen anytime soon.

Another note, my mom and grandma came up today! It was good to see them both, and to show them how I live my life. I got to show my mom where I've been the past two years (ie the apartment, dorm, work, and some of campus). We also went to the house I would have grown up in, the mouth of Green Canyon, Second Dam, the cabin my mom's side of the family used to own, the Factory Pizzeria(can I say traditions!?), and Angie's, for pie of course. Overall, it was a great day, and I gained some valuable memorabilia from home, and cookies!
