You Are A Fire, You Are Dynamite.

The past three days have been good news followed by good news. The second piece of great news came in a letter saying this:

Congratulations!  You have been selected to receive a scholarship from the Dean's Office Department in the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services. The scholarship offer is as follows:

Pretty exciting right!? I think so. When I was applying for scholarships (a very, very easy process), I thought I could maybe get $500 or $1000, not two semesters! I once again feel like I'm doing the right things, and am in the right major.

On another note, Lauren tagged me in her blogpost about fifteen things, and I can't go letting a dear friend down sooo... here goes. Fifteen unique (or almost unique) things about me:

1. I have a love-hate relationship with winter. Right now, the snow has got to end.
2. I love reading. Put me in front of a fireplace with a great book, and I will be purely happy.
3. If I discover a song I love, I will listen to it over and over and over....
4. I crave adventure and spontaneity. Whether it be a little thing or a humongous thing, let's go do it! :)
5. I hate putting myself in situations where I have to step out of my comfort zone...but those situations have come to be the ones I have ended up treasuring the most.
6. I love love love Dr. Pepper. It will always beat Coke, no matter how you compare the two. True fact. Mountain Dew on the other hand can give DP a run for it's money.
7. If I tell you I'm sick, I really am sick. I hate admitting I'm not feeling 100% and will pretend to feel fine unless I am sick beyond help or can't tolerate it anymore.
8. Even though I diss on Utah quite a bit (hey...a Texas girl has got to stay true to her #1 state), I find Utah to be a very beautiful place and have loved being in Utah the past year and a half.
9. I have a huge desire to travel. Far and wide, nearby or not. I want to go everywhere and experience everything. That shouldn't be too hard to accomplish ;)
10. I am just learning this year that I talk and mumble in my sleep. Anybody know any cures?
11. The future freaks me out...still. I pretend to be alright with it, but seriously. I am too young to grow up. I can't even imagine being 22 with a college degree...it's absurd, but it's reality I guess.
12. I love music, and I love discovering music, or sharing a band with someone that they end up loving.
13. This has been my favorite number since the fourth grade...how neat.
14. I love going to bed at night feeling fulfilled and accomplished, which doesn't happen as often as I'd like it to.
15. I am learning that I am actually fearful of learning to ski or snowboard...but I still have the desire to learn. It will be interesting to see if fear or adventure win this one...
