Memorial Day Weekend!

Memorial Day weekend started out great! My dad decided to stop in Seattle instead of heading straight home after a business meeting, so I took the day off and we hung out for a day! It was fantastic! After my dad fixed his glasses so that his lenses wouldn't fall out, we headed to Pike's Place Market, and my dad was amazed by the produce displays. We then went out to Snoqualmie Falls, which was just bursting with energy and water! It was such a pretty day to see it!

Then, my dad treated us to our first Mariner's Game! It was so neat to be sitting in that baseball stadium, overlooking Seattle, and to see the Mariner's actually win! Ian totally loved the bottomless popcorn we got as well. Typical.
What a beautiful day for a ball game!
All three of us!
Saturday morning, my dad departed for home, and I realized that Ian had forgotten his rain jacket, so we added an extra 45 minutes to our journey towards the Olympic National Park to go camping with the Reeds! It was our first time out there, and it is just beautiful! It wasn't crowded at all because it was forecasted to be wet and rainy, and we got a quaint mossy campsite off of Lake Crescent. We then hiked along the Sol-duc river for a bit and had tinfoil dinners and s'mores! It was so great to sit around a campfire again!

Ian love camping. I love how happy he looks.
Sunday, we got up, Ian made everyone hot chocolate and we headed to the Hoh Rain Forest! It was my first rainforest, and although there were no monkeys and toucans, I still loved it! We did a neat hike up to a waterfall and back in the misty, drizzly rain. We were pretty soaked by the time we made it back to the car! Then the Reeds still didn't hate us, so we went out to a beautiful beach on the Washington Coast! I love all the jagged rocks in the ocean, and we got there at low tide so we got to explore some neat tide pools! I loved it! We headed back to camp, and found out the Reeds tent had flooded! We all quickly packed up, and headed for the ferry. Yes, we drove our car on a ferry and survived. But barely. Anyway, even though we ended our trip 12 hours earlier than planned, it was a blast and I can't wait to go back out there!!
