I'll start where I left off: Halloween. I love this holiday so much, but being newly married, we didn't have huge plans, until we got invited to a party and the ward party on the same night at the same time. We went to the ones our friends invited to. We met new people, we played games and ate lots of chocolate, and we won the scariest pumpkin award. Go us! By the way, we were Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, with removable pieces and velcro. We win at creative couple costumes. After the party, I also convinced Ian to go with me to a haunted corn maze. I love them, and Ian doesn't. We were speedy, but it was a hoot and a half. On actual Halloween, Ian had to take the GRE the next day, so we stayed home and he studied. I bought a bag of candy and not one trick or treater came to our apartment (it's fine, I ate the candy for them).

It sounds busy, and it is, but I love every minute of teaching, even when things are hectic and busy and students stop listening. It's fun to use a new rewards system because they work their pockets off to earn mystery rewards for behavior. It's coming along. And today, we went to the local high school to see their dress rehearsal for the musical: I love being an active member of the community again! So fun!
Speaking of which, I didn't register for classes for next semester because I graduate in less than a month! Hallelujah! Now comes the part of looking for a job...no fun. I've already started interviewing, and it seems to be going alright.
In case you're wondering, we still have fun. We're still huge Aggie fans and have been to almost every home football and basketball game so far. We're going to buy me a spouse pass so I can still go to the basketball games next semester. Score for me! We love playing games with people, and we see our family about twice a month (it sure doesn't coincide with laundry...).
Life is good, and I am thankful for so many things. My husband, my job, my education, living so close to the temple, my whole family, laughter, and so much more. I wish you all peace, blessings, deliciously moist turkey and yummy pie this Thanksgiving season. :)
Jill! You are too cute with your Halloween costumes!! I am sure you are such a great teacher too. Hope you guys are doing well! :)
