Well the past week or so has been super interesting. It was nice to spend a few days in Chandler with my dad, and just sort of relax (after getting a carrr). We went to an Arizona Diamondbacks game and also saw The Switch. The 12 hour drive from Chandler to Salt Lake city was pretty entertaining, we listened to This American Life for like 5 hours, saw hot air balloons, saw the edge of the Grand Canyon, drove over Lake Powell, saw a gold mine, and drove through a lot of little towns in Utah. I loved the scenery the entire way!
Once in Salt Lake, I stayed at my Grandma and Grandpa Robinson's for a few days, which was also nice because they just like to sit around and talk. I got to see my Great Grandma Kellogg twice as well, I think she is 93 and still living on her own. What a great woman. My dad and I spent a few hours in Park City as well, where we rode the Alpine Coaster (featured on Travel Channel's "Bert the Conqueror") and watched the Australian Olympic Freestyle Ski team practice. It was too legit.
Then, I spent a few days at my Grandma Skidmore's, where I applied for Utah residency, applied for a passport, lost my social security card, and got everything sorted out for this coming school year. I also helped trim some bushes and trees and played Phase 10 like five times.
Now, I am in Logan, and can't sleep at all. BUT I LOVE IT. Moving in today was more stressful than I had planned it to be, because the storage in Old Farm Apartments is mega limited. But it's good now. Alexis and I made a Walmart run, and didn't even have time to unpack before we were meeting some of our pretty legit neighbors. They've all been return missionaries and it's so great to hear their stories. We met another group of guys, and they gave us cookies. Win. I'm the Number One in our Mofia. Toooooo cool.
I feel like things are once again falling back into place and it's absolutely fantastic. I love my life feeling like it's in order, and I think this year will be a great one! :)
