so long, farewell...

Today has been a roller coaster of a day. Why? Tyler has his farewell. Cody had his farewell. Did I attend either of them? No. I'm having a tough time with accepting that half of my friends, or more, won't be back next semester. Shout out to Sammy who is at least staying in the same state! :) Anyway, growing up, some young men in my ward would leave, but it was one or two a year...not every single guy I know. Ah, they are such great guys. It's been interesting to see them go from getting ordained an elder, receiving their call, saying goodbye, entering the MTC, and becoming a missionary. On the flip side...superrr weird when they come back! My friend TJ has been back from serving in Taiwan for two years for about two weeks I think. Instead of being in Utah at farewells, I was here, listening to his "homecoming talk." I love the missionary tone haha. That's not sarcasm, the tone is super soothing. I also enjoy all the stories. It's really neat to see the changes. It's also sort of scary realizing that for me, this year will be very important. In 2011 I could be going on a mission...I've always kind of wanted to, and that is something I will have to decide about in the coming months. Scary.

I made chocolate chip cookies today! Mmm. They were a perfect dinner. I know, so healthy, but I don't care. I like baking.  I am officially halfway done with English 2010! That class is no fun at all.  I'm currently sort of working on a research paper about standardized testing in schools.  I just hate the whole finding sources part. Whatevs.

I need to stop letting my imagination get the best of me.
I want to try new recipes, so I will cook more things than just fajitas, stir-fry, pasta, italian chicken, and burgers. I also want to master macoroni and cheese, as well as instant rice.
I desperately need to go running. I will get out of bed tomorrow and do that. Hopefully.
I am impatiently waiting to hear if I got into the teaching program at Utah State. That's some scary shiz right there.

CONGRATS ERIN for getting into St. Ed's!!! :) I hope you love it, and hopefully you'll meet some awesome people! If not, Utah State would love you! :)
