We kicked off fall extremely early and went apple picking the first few weekends of September! We heard that Bellewood Acres in Bellingham was worth the drive, so we researched and found out honeycrisp apples were ready to harvest, so we were off! Since we went so far north, we took an hour detour to Canada to restock on chocolate and let Ian treat himself to Nando's peri peri chicken. We enjoyed both adventures, and we continue to enjoy our honeycrisp apples in the form of applesauce, applesauce cookies, apple cider, apple crisp, and caramel apples. Next year, I hope we go back to the same place! It was so charming!
