We Love Summer!

The past few weeks have been full of fun and good times (not counting work of course).

Last week, we went to Phoenix! We road tripped down with Scott, and it was a super fun trip! We went to Rudy's the very second we got there and the 11 hour drive was made worth it. Ian loved Rudy's and their barbeque sauce. We then went to my dad's and went swimming and slept a long time. Road trips are tiring.
mouth full of food. so yum!
The next day, we drove by the Gilbert Temple that is being built and I loved seeing that! We then went to Whataburger, which was delicious of course! I brought back some of their ketchup for one of my managers...but it exploded on the way back due to the altitude change. Bummer. We went to Native New Yorker with my dad, his new wife Kathy, and her sister and we ate the most delicious wings ever. Really though. I won't get wings anywhere else! We then went to Scottsdale and went to a comedy club...the comedian was pretty funny, so a good time was had all around.

Saturday, we went to visit one of Ian's mission buddies for a few hours and then made it back to my dad's in time to set up food for their post-wedding party thing...the reason we went down. It was fun, the weather was cool due to a HUGE monsoon that blew thru an hour before, and we were ready for people to leave by 9 pm haha.

Sunday, we drove back to Utah but took a long detour to the Grand Canyon because Ian had never been and Scott has terrible memory apparently. It was fun and I want to go hiking there soooo bad! In the future I guess.
GRAND CANYON!
This week, I switched my name at the Social Security office, so I'm officially Jill Amanda Binks. We also celebrated our two month anniversary with La Tormenta and by buying me some water shoes! Then we bought a sweet 40 inch tv! It was on sale, and we wanted one for the Olympics. Hopefully we'll keep it nice for a few decades...

And on Saturday, we went on a GRAND ADVENTURE! We went river rafting up near Hoback, Wyoming! It was my first time in Wyoming, and I thought the parts we saw were very pretty. We rented a raft at the ORP and me, Ian, Alexis, Ivy, Olivia, Sable and Angie went river rafting. It was fun and a little scary. I was terrified of falling off the raft during a few of the heavy rapid spots, but I stayed on. We went down the river twice, and the second time a majestic eagle soared over us, and then a few minutes later we saw it attack a hawk. It was National Geographic in real life! So yes, it was a grand and fantastic adventure! :)
the Big Kuhuna!

I got scared and Olivia is looking at death.
