A Thankful Break

Here I am sitting on my grandma's couch in Roy, with a dog curled up on me, my phone that isn't be used, and my laptop. Oh, and my spirals for two classes I may or may not be ambitious enough to write papers for.

But goodness, I am thankful for breaks. Breaks from school and stress and homework. What have I done since I started my break yesterday afternoon? I did 5 loads of laundry (hey...it's free and well...free) and sat around and watched t.v. shows until late hours into the night. And I enjoyed it. Today, I got up and ate breakfast while looking at magazines, ones that are interesting and not full of skater punk clothes like we get in Logan Narnia. I then helped my grandma make pie crusts (there are 7 sitting on the counter...mmm) and got to go to one of my favorite stores. We also got Pizza Hut and now I'm sitting comfortably on the couch with a warm blanket that reminds me of home, waiting for the motivation to text my mom for the chocolate chip pecan pie recipe that can't be found.

If any of you are worrying, it's okay. I have an excuse to be lazy. It's called...I have an ear infection and while at my grandma's, I don't live with my friends or super close to the people I love. So, I have the internet and books, and maybe some pies to make.

I wish you all the happiest thanksgiving, full of gratitude, joy, loved ones, and most importantly, pie.
