For those of you who didn't catch on, I spent four days in the Grand Canyon State. Yes, it was hot like summer should be and I loved it. I got to see my dad and my brother. It was an eye-opening adventure. We saw movies. We sat in silence in the car. We ate at good restaurants, including Native New Yorker (those wings...mmm). We went to Sedona, Arizona, a beautiful place in the middle of a desert. We slid down rocks into ice cold water, people watched, and jumped off of bright orange rocks at Slide Rock National Park. We walked the super touristy streets of Sedona and ended up in an art gallery filled with pieces that should have been in a museum, and pretty much got a personal tour of the place. We sat at the Diamondbacks vs. Mets baseball game...the D-backs won and are currently ranked number one! I watched as the Chase Field's roof opened when the game was won for a spectacular fireworks show. It truly was a great visit, even if I did get sunburned.
