Here's to FUN.

Let me just say that the past 6 days have been some of the best times of my life. It was so great, and so fun. I will give a recap of the adventures had on the best start to summer ever!

Sunday, we drove to Long Beach, CA. It was a great drive. I saw Las Vegas for the first time, in fact, I was in Nevada for the first time. Yay for first times! We played the license plate game. We talked and laughed and ate elf fudge cookies in less than five minutes.

Monday, we got on the Carnival Paradise. We ate food and explored and had a grand old time. We went swimming and hot tubbing and started making some new "friends". I tried mussels and clams for the first time...super good. We met our waitress, Tatiana, who spoke Russian and made Jaron order in Russian every night. It was great fun. We watched some of the shows they had, sang at the piano bar, and danced in a lounge with a live band. We did in fact, party like rock stars.

Tuesday, we were at Catalina Island. It was beautiful! We docked in Avalon, and wandered around the town a bit. Then we rented tandem bikes (heck yes!) and went up to the Botanical Gardens and the Museum. It was so fun. Then we went snorkeling in Lover's Cove, a marine preserve. The kelp was cool, the fish were beautiful, and the water was ice cold. Thankfully Ian brought wet suits so we didn't turn into ice cubes. Then, we repeated the evening we had on Monday, except it was formal night, so we all looked snazzy and fancy. Also, we tried to take as many pictures as possible with all the different backgrounds. They were hilarious and precious all at the same time haha.

Wednesday we were in Ensenada, Mexico. It was Mexico. Enough said. But we went into the country and saw some beautiful scenery and went snorkeling in a hidden and beautiful cove. We decked out head to toe in wet suits and gear and got to see some pretty cool things. There was a lot of kelp, and it was kind of creepy swimming through it, but we all survived, even Jaron who hates putting his face in water. We got to see sea urchins, star fish, sun fish, random schools of fish, and other colorful things found in the sea. It was neat. Then we got authentic fish tacos...please believe how DELICIOUS they were. mmm. And mexican coke. SO GOOD! We explored the shopping areas a bit and got souvenirs. We got authentic churros too, also delicious. Then we partied it upppp back on the ship.

Thursday was all party and fun on the ship. We learned disco moves and played shuffleboard and battle of the sexes. We ate at the chocolate bar and talked in the sun. We wandered and ate ice cream. And then we partied all night long haha.

Friday, we got off, and headed to Huntington Beach. It was beautiful and warm. I loved it. We only stayed for a bit. We got In-N-Out in California and it made me very happy. We then drove all the way back to Utah, and it was so great. The trip was awesome! I loved it all, and the sunburn was worth it! :)
