Last weekend...on Friday, I went down to Roy, and saw some of my cousin's football game. He's a pro, the rest of the team...not so much. I got to see my Grandma and my Aunt Robyn for a bit, as well as Jen. Jen and I (and Chelsea who came along for a ride home) went to Farr's. I do not know why we love that place so much, but we do. SO MUCH. After that, I went to see Sammy in Sandy aka Cottonwood Heights. It was a blast. We got to eat at the beloved In-N-Out Burger, and drove around downtown Salt Lake. We also conquered Gravity Hill. It was way cool, and a little spooky. I love me some Sammy. She was such a magnificent roommate and is still such a great friend!
Jen and I at Farr's. I got playdough ice cream, and she got mint chocolate chip.Overlooking Salt Lake valley with Sammy. I think this was before Gravity Hill.
This weekend...on Friday, I took a nap, and Alexis, Ron, and I started making the beginnings of our horse/zebra pinata. Be jealous. It will be awesome. After that, Alexis, Morgan, Jared, and I went up to the haunted nunnery in Logan canyon. Scary? Yes. It's sort of creepy how close the nunnery is to the main road that goes through the canyon. Anyway, we went, and walked past the pool, went inside the pool house, a cabin, and the main lodge. It was really cool, but scary at the same time. We're really lucky we didn't get caught haha. I wish I had cool pictures to show, but I didn't bring my camera and the pictures on my phone were so creepy I deleted them. It was a great experience though. We ended up staying up til 4 am telling scary and just random stories, and creeping on our own apartment. It was a jolly good time.
Saturday was awesome. We were going to hike the wind caves, but everyone slept instead. we'll have to go soon. Me and my roommates got to go down to the Conference Center in Salt Lake for the General Relief Society Conference, and that was really cool in and of itself. Just being there made my weekend. Then, we found out one of our neighbors, Craig was working at The Garden at the top of the Joseph Smith Building, He hooked us up with a reservation under the name, "Sassy Frass" and he was our waiter! It was so neat! What's even better is that Russell M. Nelson was sitting two tables from us, behind a pillar. Craig told us about it, and so we each individually got up and went to the bathroom in order to see him. he looks older in person. Then we saw other people talking to him so we decided that when he left, we would say hi, and we did. Looking into his eyes was amazing, and yes, we shook his hand. Such a great experience. I have been so blessed ever since I have come out to Utah, and even made the decision to attend Utah State. Life is good. :)
This is my roommates and I with Craig in The Garden right before we left. :)
